Dr. Bin Zhang has practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) professionally for over 20 years. His father, Jianye Zhang, MD, was a famous doctor in China, and from a young age his father taught him many “secret” and unique points and techniques that were only used in the Zhang family. Dr. Bin Zhang, has built upon his family's tradition and has adopted this system in his own practice, in addition to applying knowledge from other schools.
The benefits of the Zhang techniques include:
Patients always see the benefits just minutes after their first visit using the “one key opens one lock” technique. This technique involves fewer needles for each treatment, dramatically improving the effectiveness while reducing the cost.
Zhang's Acupuncture only focuses on select points located in specialty areas. This way there is no chance for mistakes, as safety is always the first priority.
The principle behind Dr. Zhang’s techniques are based on the energy flow (qi) that travels in the meridians and the foundation of these meridians. The further away the acupuncture points are located away from the troubled area (where the energy is blocked), the more the energy can accumulate as it travels a longer distance to the troubled area.
It is like a river that starts at the top of a mountain with very little water as it flows down. As it moves closer and closer towards the ocean, it collects water from other streams and rivers. Finally once it reaches the ocean, it has much more water and force.
Traditional methods use local points to treat the affected area, but we believe that by doing so it produces very low energy levels and it will not heal the area in the most efficient way possible. This is what makes the the qi energy flow method so effective. Selecting acupuncture points in this type of treatment requires much more training for the acupuncturist, and the use of many “secret” points only known in the Zhang family.
This is a common phrase that is used at Zhang’s Acupuncture, and has two meanings.
